Donors to Provide More Funds to Help Small and Weak Economies Benefit from Trade

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - Major donors on Thursday expressed willingness to provide more funds to small and weak states in Asia and the Pacific to help them lay the groundwork for increased trade and thus reap the benefits of globalization.

At the end of the two-day conference “Mobilizing Aid for Trade: Focus Asia and Pacific,” top global and regional trade and finance officials agreed on key measures to harness trade as an engine of growth and help close development gaps in the region.
