- Pacific Trade Issues
This report was prepared for a conference hosted by the Asian Development Bank and the World Trade Organization entitled “Mobilizing Aid for Trade: Focus on Asia and the Pacific.” It seeks to bring a better understanding of contemporary trade issues in the Pacific region.
- Anti-Corruption Action Plan for Asia and the Pacific
The Anti-Corruption Action Plan for Asia and the Pacific is the outcome of an intensive consultation process between governments from the region and representatives from civil society, the private sector, and the international donor community. Through this regional process, countries that have endorsed the plan aim to improve their legal and institutional frameworks to enhance transparency in the public service, strengthen anti-bribery action and promote integrity in business operations, and support active public involvement in the fight against corruption.
- Strategy Papers
Strategy papers guide ADB's Pacific operations. They analyze key development challenges and suggest how developing member countries, ADB, and other development partners might best address these challenges. ADB's Pacific strategy papers are implemented through regional technical assistance and country strategies and programs for each Pacific developing member country (PDMC).
- Pacific Studies Series
ADB publishes this series to provide the governments of its Pacific developing member countries with analyses of economic and social development issues. The studies shed light on the issues facing governments and people in the Pacific islands, and suggest development strategies that are politically and technically feasibility.
- ADB Review on the Pacific
ADB Review reports on development news from the Pacific and on the activities of the Asian Development Bank. Through words and images, the magazine brings you face-to-face with the people ADB is reaching out to in its effort to end poverty in the Pacific.
- Priorities of the People Series
To better understand hardship and poverty in the Pacific, the Asian Development Bank has assisted several Pacific governments to conduct Participatory Hardship Assessments. Local people from all walks of life, especially the poor, were asked to describe hardship from their point of view and suggest the most important priority actions to improve their lives.
