How ADB Is Helping the Poor in Uzbekistan

Overview

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) implements its poverty reduction goal in Uzbekistan through specifically directed and designed loan and technical assistance projects and through the use of funds made available by the Government of Japan through the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR) for education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and other sectors.

With its total portfolio of 15 ongoing loan projects, the ADB is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to Uzbekistan playing a supportive role in poverty reduction and the improvement of living standards of the people of Uzbekistan.
