TA will assist the Department of Transport (DOT) to (i) restructure and strengthen its Maritime Safety Branch to implement the Rehabilitation of the Maritime Navigatin Aids Project effectively, (ii) prepare the groundwork for establishment of a new autonomous maritime safety authority within the six months of the implementation period, and (iii) implement the new authority with international standard corporate planning, financial management, operations, and staff training functions.
