Project Data Sheet (PDS): Overview
The proposed TA will assist the Government of Vanuatu and Financial Sector Commission with legal and institutional reforms. The objectives of the TA are to (i) reform the laws and regulations constituting the companies, bankruptcy and insolvency framework, (ii) develop a Companies registry reform roadmap, and (iii) provide an assessment of FSC to ensure high corporate governance standards and strong supervisory capabilities. The Public Communications Policy (PCP) recognizes that transparency and accountability are essential to development effectiveness. It establishes the disclosure requirements for documents and information ADB produces or requires to be produced.
The Accountability Mechanism provides a forum where people adversely affected by ADB-assisted projects can voice and seek solutions to their problems and report alleged noncompliance of ADB's operational policies and procedures.
