PLL owns and operates India's first liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and regasification terminal, which started commercial operations on 9 April 2004. In the first phase, the terminal had a capacity of 5 million metric tons per annum (MMTPA). PLL imports LNG mainly from Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited (II) (Rasgas) in Qatar.
