The National Transport Development Plan 2000-2010 (NTDP) was prepared by the Department of Transport (DOT) and endorsed by the National Executive Council (NEC). The NTDP is in two volumes, the first setting out sector policy and plans for institutional and legislative reforms, and the second volume providing a 10-year program of infrastructure investment. The Public Communications Policy (PCP) recognizes that transparency and accountability are essential to development effectiveness. It establishes the disclosure requirements for documents and information ADB produces or requires to be produced.
The Accountability Mechanism provides a forum where people adversely affected by ADB-assisted projects can voice and seek solutions to their problems and report alleged noncompliance of ADB's operational policies and procedures.
