The proposed S-PATA will support the Government of Pakistan to prepare a Damage and Needs Assessment (DNA) of the recent floods in Pakistan. The S-PATA will support the Government efforts to estimate the damage and reconstruction needs of the 2010 Floods. The assessment will provide strategic guidelines to inform the reconstrcution and rehabilitation planning in key sectors of the economy by regional, national, and international institutions. The Public Communications Policy (PCP) recognizes that transparency and accountability are essential to development effectiveness. It establishes the disclosure requirements for documents and information ADB produces or requires to be produced.
The Accountability Mechanism provides a forum where people adversely affected by ADB-assisted projects can voice and seek solutions to their problems and report alleged noncompliance of ADB's operational policies and procedures.
