Malaysia s interest and involvement in regional cooperation and integration (RCI) is extensive. In addition to ASEAN, BIMP-EAGA, and IMT-GT, Malaysia participates in a wide variety of RCI efforts ranging from the Coral Triangle Initiative to the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB). Malaysia is also an active shareholder of the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund and will assume its chairmanship in 2015-2017. The Public Communications Policy (PCP) recognizes that transparency and accountability are essential to development effectiveness. It establishes the disclosure requirements for documents and information ADB produces or requires to be produced.
The Accountability Mechanism provides a forum where people adversely affected by ADB-assisted projects can voice and seek solutions to their problems and report alleged noncompliance of ADB's operational policies and procedures.
